Meet the Artist

Hi, I’m Swastika, the founder of Nach Firiri.

Dance has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Though never formally trained, I enjoyed every part of dancing. From picking the song to putting together the outfit, dance was the greatest form of self-expression for me, and the only time I felt truly present.

Over time, I started hosting dance workshops as a way to bring people together through South Asian music, art, and culture, and that is when I noticed something unique. Dancers often showed up wearing kurthis and other dance friendly South Asian outfits. They were comfortable, easy to move in, and made people feel connected to their roots. That is when I saw the opportunity to bring my two passions together, South Asian fashion and art, giving birth to Nach Firiri.

No idea has ever felt so true and real to me. I was born and raised in Nepal and moved to the US when I was nine years old. Dance, South Asian fashion, and music are subtle reminders of home, and that is what has kept me rooted to this day. I am thrilled to begin this journey and design dance-friendly outfits made for movement, style, and everyday wear, so you can stay connected to your roots wherever you are.
